Slavic Oven Stew

Ingredients

• 3 medium potatoes peeled and sliced
• 1 large onion sliced
• 1 large green pepper sliced
• 12 c uncooked rice
• margarine
• salt and pepper
• 1 can tomatoes
• 8 to 10 pork chops
• 1 small can tomato sauce

Directions

1. Trim fat and bone from pork chops
2. Layer first 7 ingredients in large baking dish in order given in recipe
3. Arrange pork chops on top
4. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and pour 1 small can tomato sauce over chops
5. Bake in 450 oven 1 hour covered then in 375 oven 12 hour uncovered
6. Serves 6 to 8
