Ingredients

  • 2 lb lean beef round cut into bite size pieces
  • 2 c chopped onion
  • 2 c quartered potatoes
  • 2 c carrot chunks
  • 2 c large cut celery
  • 1 8 oz can sliced mushrooms drained
  • 12 tsp salt
  • 12 tsp pepper
  • 5 Tbsp tapioca
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 3 c tomato juice

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 250
  2. Place meat onion potatoes carrots celery mushrooms salt pepper tapioca and sugar in roaster or Dutch oven
  3. Pour tomato juice over top
  4. Cover tightly
  5. Bake for 5 hours
  6. Serves 6
