Smithfield Ham

Ingredients

  • 10 to 12 lb ham
  • 5 c cold water
  • brown sugar
  • mustard

Directions

  1. Scrub ham with a brush to remove any mold on the skin
  2. Soak ham in cold water for 8 hours
  3. Place ham in roaster fat side down add 5 cups water
  4. Cover top of pan with foil making airtight as possible before putting on the roaster lid
  5. Place roaster in a cold oven and set temperature at 500
  6. Bake at 500 for 10 minutes
  7. Turn off
  8. Leave ham in oven for 3 hours undisturbed
