Snickerdoodle Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 c shortening
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp cream of tartar
- 1 tsp soda
- 4 tsp sugar
- 1 12 c sugar
- 2 34 c all-purpose flour
- 12 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 4 tsp ground cinnamon and butter
Directions
- Cream the shortening and 1 12 cup sugar and eggs until fluffy combine cream of tartar salt and soda
- Stir into creamed mixture stir in vanilla
- Shape into balls
- Combine remaining sugar and cinnamon mixing well
- Roll each ball in mixture
- Place on ungreased cookie sheet flatten with fork
- Bake 400 for 8 minutes
