Snickerdoodle Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 c shortening
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp soda
  • 4 tsp sugar
  • 1 12 c sugar
  • 2 34 c all-purpose flour
  • 12 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 4 tsp ground cinnamon and butter

Directions

  1. Cream the shortening and 1 12 cup sugar and eggs until fluffy combine cream of tartar salt and soda
  2. Stir into creamed mixture stir in vanilla
  3. Shape into balls
  4. Combine remaining sugar and cinnamon mixing well
  5. Roll each ball in mixture
  6. Place on ungreased cookie sheet flatten with fork
  7. Bake 400 for 8 minutes
