Snickerdoodles

Ingredients
- 1 c soft shortening
- 1 12 c sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp cream of tartar
- 1 tsp soda
- 12 tsp salt
- 2 34 c sifted all-purpose flour
Directions
- Mix first three
- Sift together dry ingredients and stir in Chill dough
- Roll into balls the size of small walnuts
- Roll in mixture of 2 tablespoons sugar and 2 teaspoons of cinnamon
- Place about 2-inches apart on an ungreased baking sheet
- Bake in a 400 oven for 8 to 10 minutes Makes 5 dozen 2-inch cookies
