Sour Cream Apple Squares

Ingredients

• 2 c flour
• 2 c brown sugar
• 12 c soft butter
• 1 c nuts
• 2 c peeled and finely chopped apples
• 1 tsp cinnamon
• 1 tsp soda and salt
• 1 c sour cream
• 1 egg
• 1 tsp vanilla

Directions

1. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup level off
2. Combine flour brown sugar and butter in large bowl
3. Blend at low speed until fine crumbs form
4. Stir in nuts
5. Press 2 34 of mixture firmly in ungreased 14 x 9-inch pan
6. Add to remaining crumb mixture cinnamon soda salt and sour cream
7. Blend then add egg and vanilla
8. Stir in apples and spoon over crumb base
