Sour Cream Beef Stroganoff

Ingredients

  • 1 12 lb round steak
  • 12 lb butter
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 1 c sour cream
  • 1 lb sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 1 6 oz can tomato paste
  • 18 tsp pepper

Directions

  1. Cut meat in thin strips trim excess fat
  2. Brown meat and mushrooms in butter
  3. Add onions combine soup and tomato paste Add seasonings
  4. Add this to meat mixture
  5. Cover and simmer for about 1 hour or until meat is tender
  6. Just before serving stir in sour cream and thicken gravy if desired
  7. Serve in ring of fluffy rice or over noodles
  8. Serves 8 to 10
