Sour Cream Biscuits

Sour Cream Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour sifted
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 12 tsp soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 12 cup shortening
  • 1 cup dairy sour cream

Directions

  1. Sift together dry ingredients
  2. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse meal
  3. Add sour cream mix to form a soft dough
  4. Turn out on well floured surface and knead gently for about 20 seconds
  5. Roll dough to 12 inch thickness
  6. Cut with biscuit cutter dipped in flour and place on ungreased baking sheet
  7. Bake at 450 degrees for approximately 10 minutes
