Sour Cream Pecan Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 c butter or margarine
  • 2 34 c sugar
  • 6 eggs separated
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 12 tsp lemon extract
  • 12 tsp almond extract
  • 3 c flour
  • 14 tsp baking soda
  • 8 oz sour cream
  • 1 c chopped pecans

Directions

  1. Grease and flour 10-inch tube pan
  2. Cream margarine and 2 14 cups sugar until light add egg yolks one at a time beating well Add vanilla lemon and almond extracts
  3. Stir together flour and baking soda then add to batter mixture alternately with sour cream
  4. Mix well stir in pecans
  5. Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form add 12 cup sugar and fold egg whites into batter Bake in a 325 oven for 1 hour and 20 minutes
