Sour Cream Pecan Cake
Ingredients
- 1 c butter or margarine
- 2 34 c sugar
- 6 eggs separated
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 12 tsp lemon extract
- 12 tsp almond extract
- 3 c flour
- 14 tsp baking soda
- 8 oz sour cream
- 1 c chopped pecans
Directions
- Grease and flour 10-inch tube pan
- Cream margarine and 2 14 cups sugar until light add egg yolks one at a time beating well Add vanilla lemon and almond extracts
- Stir together flour and baking soda then add to batter mixture alternately with sour cream
- Mix well stir in pecans
- Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form add 12 cup sugar and fold egg whites into batter Bake in a 325 oven for 1 hour and 20 minutes
