Sour Cream Pound Cake
Ingredients
- 12 lb butter
- 3 c sugar
- 6 eggs
- 1 c sour cream
- 3 c plain flour
- 14 tsp soda
- 1 tsp vanilla
Directions
- Separate eggs
- Beat egg whites until stiff
- Cream butter sugar vanilla and egg yolks
- Sift together in another bowl all dry ingredients
- To main mixture add alternately the sour cream and dry ingredients
- Mix very well
- Loosely fold in beaten egg whites
- Bake in greased and floured tube pan at 300 for 1 12 hours
- Done when toothpick in center is clean
