Sour Cream Pound Cake

Ingredients

  • 12 lb butter
  • 3 c sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 c sour cream
  • 3 c plain flour
  • 14 tsp soda
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Directions

  1. Separate eggs
  2. Beat egg whites until stiff
  3. Cream butter sugar vanilla and egg yolks
  4. Sift together in another bowl all dry ingredients
  5. To main mixture add alternately the sour cream and dry ingredients
  6. Mix very well
  7. Loosely fold in beaten egg whites
  8. Bake in greased and floured tube pan at 300 for 1 12 hours
  9. Done when toothpick in center is clean
