Sour Cream Yeast Dough

Ingredients

  • 2 c dairy sour cream
  • 2 pkg active dry yeast
  • 12 c warm water 105 to 115
  • 14 c soft butter or margarine
  • 13 c sugar
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 6 c flour

Directions

  1. Heat sour cream over low heat until lukewarm
  2. In large bowl dissolve yeast in warm water
  3. Add sour cream butter sugar eggs and 2 cups flour beat until smooth and stir in remaining flour until cleaves to the bowl
  4. Knead on well-floured board until smooth about 10 minutes
  5. Place in greased bowl turn once to bring greased side up cover and let rise in a warm place 85 until double about 1 hour
