South Maryland Stuffed Ham

Ingredients

  • 1 corned ham or 15 to 25 lb Mashes low-salt ham
  • 2 medium heads cabbage
  • 2 lb kale if desired
  • 3 Tbsp sage
  • 2 Tbsp salt
  • 2 lb onions
  • 2 Tbsp red pepper
  • 1 Tbsp black pepper
  • 3 Tbsp poultry seasoning

Directions

  1. Chop vegetables cabbage kale and onions mix with other ingredients
  2. Cut slits in ham
  3. Stuff ingredients in slits and if any are left over put on top of ham
  4. Wrap ham in heavy-duty aluminum foil
  5. Put in a roasting pan add 2 small saucepans of water
  6. Cook in oven at 350 for 4 12 to 5 hours
