South Of The Border Steak

Ingredients

  • 1 12 lb tenderized round steak
  • 2 12 Tbsp butter or margarine
  • 12 tsp chili powder
  • 12 tsp ground red pepper
  • 1 12 tsp garlic salt
  • 2 small cans chopped green chiles
  • 8 oz Monterey Jack cheese shredded
  • 1 8 oz jar taco sauce hot or mild

Directions

  1. Brown steak in butter while adding seasonings to meat until light brown
  2. Drain off any grease
  3. Remove steak put in an oven-safe dish
  4. Pour taco sauce on top of steak then sprinkle top of steak with chopped green chiles
  5. Bake covered for 35 minutes at 350
  6. Remove cover
  7. Add shredded cheese to the top of each piece of steak
  8. Bake uncovered for 10 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and melted well
  9. Serve with Spanish rice
