South Of The Border Steak
Ingredients
- 1 12 lb tenderized round steak
- 2 12 Tbsp butter or margarine
- 12 tsp chili powder
- 12 tsp ground red pepper
- 1 12 tsp garlic salt
- 2 small cans chopped green chiles
- 8 oz Monterey Jack cheese shredded
- 1 8 oz jar taco sauce hot or mild
Directions
- Brown steak in butter while adding seasonings to meat until light brown
- Drain off any grease
- Remove steak put in an oven-safe dish
- Pour taco sauce on top of steak then sprinkle top of steak with chopped green chiles
- Bake covered for 35 minutes at 350
- Remove cover
- Add shredded cheese to the top of each piece of steak
- Bake uncovered for 10 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and melted well
- Serve with Spanish rice
