Southern-Style Chicken Gravy
Ingredients
- 12 c chopped onions
- 1 4 oz can sliced mushrooms drained reserve liquid
- 2 Tbsp margarine
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 2 c chicken broth
- 14 tsp each thyme and pepper
- 1 2 lb box frozen fully cooked fried chicken
- 3 Tbsp chopped parsley
- Rice Pilaf
Directions
- Saute onions and mushrooms in butter until golden
- Stir in soup broth mushroom liquid and seasonings
- Add chicken cover and simmer 25 to 30 minutes
- Sprinkle with parsley
- Serve over Pilaf
- Makes 5 to 6 servings
