Southern Fried Corn

Ingredients

  • 12 ears corn
  • 14 c butter
  • 1 c milk
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Cut kernels of corn off cobs with sharp knife
  2. Scrape each ear with knife to remove all of corn and milk from each ear
  3. Melt butter in heavy saucepan or heavy skillet
  4. Add corn and 1 tablespoon of milk per ear about 1 cup for 12 ears
  5. Simmer until tender
  6. Season to taste with salt and pepper
  7. I use white pepper
