Southern Pecan Pie

Ingredients

  • 12 c sugar
  • 14 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 Tbsp melted margarine
  • 1 c dark corn syrup
  • 1 Tbsp flour
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 12 c pecan halves

Directions

  1. Beat together the sugar corn syrup salt flour and eggs Add the vanilla margarine and pecan halves
  2. Pour into unbaked shell
  3. Turn rounded side of pecans up
  4. Bake in slow oven at 300 for 1 hour
  5. Cool before cutting
  6. Serve with ice cream or whipped cream if desired
