Bring the 2 cups of water to a rolling boil Drop the tea bags in the water and then the soda Cook about 1 minute Cover with lid and remove from heat or just turn the burner off Let steep sit for about 15 minutes Put sugar in a 2-quart pitcher and pour hot tea in and stir to dissolve Add enough cold water to fill the pitcher Add the lemon juice and serve over ice
