Spaghetti Carbonara

Spaghetti Carbonara

Ingredients

  • 1 12 lb uncooked spaghetti
  • 12 lb bacon cut up
  • 14 c chopped onion
  • 12 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 c half and half
  • 12 c milk
  • 12 c whipping cream
  • 1 egg slightly beaten
  • 14 c grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 Tbsp chopped parsley
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Cook spaghetti according to package directions drain and keep warm
  2. In large frying pan cook bacon over high heat until golden
  3. Reduce heat to medium and add onions and garlic cook 5 minutes
  4. In medium bowl mix half and half milk whipping cream and egg until well blended
  5. Toss with spaghetti add bacon mixture and cook over low heat until thoroughly heated
  6. Season to taste with salt and pepper
  7. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and parsley
  8. Serves 6
