Spaghetti Crusted Ground Turkey Pie
Ingredients
- 6 oz uncooked spaghetti broken in half
- 2 eggs beaten
- 13 c grated Parmesan cheese
- 23 c sour cream
- 1 Tbsp butter or oleo
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 8 oz can tomato sauce
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 34 c chopped green pepper or celery may be used
- 13 c chopped onion
- 1 tsp garlic salt
- 1 c shredded Mozzarella cheese 4 oz
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions
- Cook spaghetti as directed on package and drain
- Mix eggs Parmesan cheese and warm spaghetti
- Pour into generously buttered 9 x 1 14-inch pie plate
- Pat in bottom and up sides to rim with back of spoon
- Spread sour cream over bottom
- Heat oven to 350 Heat margarine over medium-high heat until melted
- Crumble turkey into skillet
- Add bell pepper and onion
- Cook until turkey is no longer pink drain
- Add tomato sauce garlic salt and oregano
- Simmer 10 minutes uncovered
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Spoon mixture over sour cream
- Cover with aluminum foil Bake 25 minutes
- Sprinkle Mozzarella cheese on top and bake until melted
