Spiced Green Pickles
Ingredients
- 5 lb small tomatoes green
- 2 c vinegar
- 1 tsp whole cloves
- 1 Tbsp white mustard seed
- 4 c white sugar
- 1 Tbsp stick cinnamon
- 1 tsp whole allspice
Directions
- Combine sugar vinegar and spices bring mixture to the boiling point and pour over tomatoes
- Let stand 4 hours or overnight
- Drain off liquid and cook until it coats a spoon
- Add tomatoes and cook until clear about 12 minutes
- Seal in clean hot jars immediately
