Spiced Iced Tea

Ingredients
- 2 qt water
- 6 orange pekoe tea bags
- a cheesecloth bag containing 12 4-inch cinnamon sticks 6 cloves and 3 allspice berries
- 3 c pineapple juice
- 14 c sugar or to taste
- sticks of pineapple core or wedges for garnish
Directions
- In a saucepan bring the water to boil add the tea bags and remove the pan from the heat
- Let the tea steep for 20 minutes Discard the tea bags and the cheesecloth bag
- In a pitcher combine the tea with the pineapple juice and the sugar and stir the tea until the sugar is dissolved
- Chill the tea covered until it is cold
- Stir the tea before serving and garnish with sticks of core or wedges
- Makes about 10 cups
