Spiced Peaches

Ingredients

• 5 c sugar
• 2 c water
• 1 c vinegar
• 12-inch stick cinnamon broken in pieces
• 2 tsp whole cloves
• 2 12 lb peaches

Directions

1. Combine first 5 ingredients in large pot and bring to a boil Reduce heat and simmer
2. Wash peel halve and pit peaches
3. Add to syrup and heat 5 minutes
4. Pack fruit and syrup into hot jars leaving a 12-inch headspace
5. Adjust lids
6. Process in boiling water bath 20 minutes
7. Makes 3 pints
