Spiced Peaches
Ingredients
- 5 c sugar
- 2 c water
- 1 c vinegar
- 12-inch stick cinnamon broken in pieces
- 2 tsp whole cloves
- 2 12 lb peaches
Directions
- Combine first 5 ingredients in large pot and bring to a boil Reduce heat and simmer
- Wash peel halve and pit peaches
- Add to syrup and heat 5 minutes
- Pack fruit and syrup into hot jars leaving a 12-inch headspace
- Adjust lids
- Process in boiling water bath 20 minutes
- Makes 3 pints
