Spicy Drop Cookies

Ingredients

• 1 c sugar
• 34 c shortening
• 1 egg
• 12 tsp salt
• 1 tsp cinnamon
• 4 Tbsp molasses
• 2 tsp baking soda
• 2 c flour
• 12 tsp cloves

Directions

1. In a bowl cream together sugar and shortening
2. Add egg and stir
3. In small bowl dissolve baking soda in molasses
4. Stir into creamed mixture Add the dry ingredients Stir well Form into balls
5. Place onto cookie sheet Flatten
6. Bake in a preheated 400 oven for 12 minutes
