Spicy Pumpkin Cake

Ingredients
- 12 c packed brown sugar
- 12 c butter or margarine softened
- 2 eggs
- 34 c buttermilk
- 12 c canned pumpkin
- 12 c light molasses
- 2 12 c all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp finely shredded orange peel
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 12 tsp salt
- 12 tsp ground cinnamon
- 12 tsp ground ginger
- sifted powdered sugar
Directions
- Grease and lightly flour a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan
- In mixer bowl cream together brown sugar and butter or margarine until light
- Add eggs one at a time beating well after each
- Combine buttermilk pumpkin and molasses
- Thoroughly stir together flour orange peel soda salt and spices
- Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture alternating with buttermilk mixture beating after each addition
