Spider Corn Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 1 34 c milk
  • 1 c cornmeal
  • 13 c flour
  • 2 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 Tbsp shortening

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 425
  2. Melt shortening in frypan placed in oven
  3. Beat egg add 1 cup milk
  4. Stir in cornmeal flour sugar salt and baking powder
  5. Turn into frypan with melted shortening Pour over remaining milk
  6. Do not stir
  7. Bake 25 minutes at 425
