Sponge Gingerbread

Ingredients
- 12 c sugar
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 1 c molasses
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp ginger
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 2 c flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 c boiling water
Directions
- Cream butter and sugar
- Add molasses and egg
- Sift together ginger cinnamon and flour
- Blend into molasses mixture Dissolve soda in boiling water
- Add to mixture batter will be runny
- Bake in greased pan at 325 for 20 to 30 minutes
