Spoon Corn Bread

Ingredients
- 1 c white corn meal
- 3 c milk
- 2 Tbsp shortening
- 3 eggs well beaten
- 1 12 tsp salt
- 3 tsp baking powder
Directions
- Preheat oven to 450
- Combine corn meal shortening and 2 cups of milk in a pan over medium heat
- Bring mixture just to a boil stirring constantly
- Blend beaten eggs salt and remaining milk
- Add to corn meal mixture
- Mix well
- Stir in baking powder
- Pour into greased 1 12 to 2-quart casserole
- Bake 25 to 30 minutes
- Serve hot with butter
