Spooned Halva
Ingredients
- 14 lb butter
- 1 c farina
- 12 c chopped nuts
- 2 c water
- 1 c sugar
Directions
- Melt butter in deep pan add farina and cook until golden color stirring constantly
- Stir in chopped nuts
- Reduce heat Meanwhile bring water and sugar to a slow boil
- Cook 3 minutes Pour syrup slowly over farina stirring with wooden spoon until halva is slightly thickened
- Remove from heat
- Cover let stand 10 minutes
- Shape with individual molds or with spoon
- Place on large platters and sprinkle with cinnamon
