Spudnuts

Ingredients
- 1 c mashed potatoes
- 2 c warm milk
- 3 c flour
- 12 tsp salt
- 23 c shortening
- 34 c sugar
- oil for frying
- 2 eggs beaten
- 1 pkg yeast
Directions
- Dissolve yeast in 14 cup water
- Mix potatoes and milk
- Add flour salt shortening and sugar
- Add 3 more cups flour and knead
- If needed add 1 more cup flour
- Let dough double itself then roll out and cut with regular doughnut cutter
- Let rise until twice their regular size
- Cook in deep oil at 390
- Makes 4 dozen plus holes
