Starlight Mint Surprise Cookies

Ingredients

• 3 c flour
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 12 tsp salt
• 1 c butter
• 1 c sugar
• 12 c packed brown sugar
• 2 eggs
• 2 tsp water
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 9 oz pkg Andes mints
• walnut halves

Directions

1. Sift flour baking soda and salt
2. In separate bowl cream butter sugar and brown sugar
3. Blend in eggs water and vanilla Add dry ingredients and mix thoroughly
4. Cover and refrigerate 2 hours
5. Put about 1 tablespoon of dough around each mint
6. Place on greased baking sheet about 3 inches apart
7. Top with walnut half
8. Bake at 375 for 10 to 12 minutes
