Starlight Sugar Crisps

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg dry yeast
  • 14 c water
  • 3 12 c flour
  • 1 12 tsp salt
  • 12 c butter or margarine
  • 12 c Crisco or lard
  • 2 eggs
  • 12 c sour cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 12 c sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla

Directions

  1. Soften 1 package dry yeast in 14 cup very warm water
  2. Cut butter and Crisco into flour and salt mixture until particles are the size of small peas
  3. Blend in the beaten eggs sour thick or commercial cream vanilla and the softened yeast
  4. Mix thoroughly Cover chill at least 2 hours
  5. Dough may be stored in refrigerator up to 4 days and baked as needed
