Starlight Sugar Crisps
Ingredients
- 1 pkg dry yeast
- 14 c water
- 3 12 c flour
- 1 12 tsp salt
- 12 c butter or margarine
- 12 c Crisco or lard
- 2 eggs
- 12 c sour cream
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 12 c sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla
Directions
- Soften 1 package dry yeast in 14 cup very warm water
- Cut butter and Crisco into flour and salt mixture until particles are the size of small peas
- Blend in the beaten eggs sour thick or commercial cream vanilla and the softened yeast
- Mix thoroughly Cover chill at least 2 hours
- Dough may be stored in refrigerator up to 4 days and baked as needed
