Steak And Chicken Almond
Ingredients
- 1 whole chicken breast boned
- 1 boneless sirloin steak 8 to 10 oz
- 2 celery stalks
- 4 green onions
- 1 8 12 oz can water chestnuts sliced
- 2 Tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 6 oz pkg frozen pea pods thawed
- 3 c chicken broth
- 3 Tbsp soy sauce
- 13 c cornstarch
- 12 c water
- 12 c toasted almonds slivered
Directions
- Cut chicken and sirloin into thin strips
- Bias slice the celery green onions and water chestnuts
- In an electric skillet or wok quickly cook and stir meats and onions in hot oil
- Add pea pods
- Add chicken broth and soy sauce
- Bring to boiling point cover and cook 2 to 3 minutes
- Blend cornstarch and water add to chicken meat and vegetable mixture
- Cook until thick Top with almonds
- Serve with chow mein noodles
- Serves 4
