Steak And Rice

Ingredients

  • 1 12 lb tenderized boneless beef or round steak
  • 1 12 Tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 large onions cut in 12-inch slices and separated into rings
  • 1 10 34 oz can cream of mushroom soup or cream of celery soup
  • 1 12 tsp garlic salt
  • 3 c hot cooked rice
  • 1 can water

Directions

  1. Cut steak into thin strips
  2. In a large skillet ovenproof if desired brown meat in oil using high heat
  3. Add onions saute until tender-crisp
  4. Blend soup water and garlic salt pour over steak
  5. Reduce heat cover and simmer for 1 hour or until steak is tender
  6. Or cover and bake at 350
  7. Serve over beds of fluffy rice
  8. Makes 6 servings
