Steaming Oyster Stew
Ingredients
- 2 c milk
- 1 pt light cream
- 1 12 oz container oysters
- 2 Tbsp butter
- dash cayenne pepper
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions
- Heat milk and cream together until film shimmers over surface Do not boil
- In separate pan precook oysters and drain
- Add oysters slice if you prefer and butter to hot milk and cream mixture
- Heat but do not boil for 5 minutes more
- Add seasonings and serve at once
- Serves 5 to 6
