Stewed Tomatoes

Ingredients
- 1 16 oz can whole tomatoes
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 12 tsp allspice
- 18 tsp salt
- 3 Tbsp sugar
- 1 slice bread crumbled
- 1 Tbsp butter
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 2 Tbsp cold water
Directions
- Place all ingredients except butter cornstarch and water in a saucepan
- Cook over medium-low heat for 20 minutes
- Break up tomatoes with a spoon
- Stir occasionally
- Dissolve cornstarch in water and add to other ingredients
- Let mixture thicken
- Remove from heat and add butter
- Serve hot or cold
