Stollen

Ingredients
- 1 pkg active dry yeast
- 14 c warm water
- 14 c sugar
- 1 stick butter
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 c milk
- 4 12 c flour
- 12 c chopped almonds
- 12 c raisins
- 12 c chopped candied red and green cherries
- 1 c powdered sugar
- 2 Tbsp hot water
- sliced almonds
Directions
- Sprinkle the yeast over the warm water in a small bowl add a pinch of sugar stir to dissolve and let stand for 5 minutes
