Strawberry Freezer Jam
Ingredients
- 2 c finely mashed fresh strawberries
- 4 c sugar
- 1 1 34 oz pkg powdered pectin
- 34 c water
Directions
- Combine strawberries and sugar stirring well
- Let mixture stand 20 minutes stirring occasionally
- Combine pectin and water in a saucepan stirring well
- Bring mixture to a boil and let it boil for 1 minute stirring as it boils
- Remove from the stove and stir well again
- Pour the pectin mixture over the fruit Stir for 3 minutes
- Pour into sterilized jelly glasses or frozen food containers
- Cover with lids and let stand at room temperature for 1 to 2 hours or until jelled
- Store in freezer up to 1 year or in refrigerator up to 3 weeks
- To serve remove and allow to come to room temperature
- Yields 5 cups
