Strawberry PieThe Easy Way

Ingredients

• 1 Pet-Ritz pie crust shell
• 1 qt fresh strawberries
• 1 c berries
• 1 c sugar
• 3 Tbsp cornstarch
• 1 c water
• 3 drops red food coloring
• Cool Whip

Directions

1. Bake and cool pie shell
2. Wash and hull the strawberries
3. Cut up the berries
4. Mix the sugar and cornstarch in a 2-quart saucepan
5. Stir in the water gradually until the mixture is smooth
6. Add the cut up berries
7. Cook stirring constantly over medium heat until thick and clear
8. Stir in the food coloring Cool
9. Stir in the remaining berries
10. Pour into the pie crust Chill until firm 3 hours
11. Top with Cool Whip
