Strawberry Shortbread Shortcake

Ingredients

• 1 c butter or margarine softened
• 1 c confectioners sugar
• 2 c all-purpose flour
• 1 oz semi-sweet chocolate grated
• 1 c whipping cream whipped and sweetened
• 2 pt fresh strawberries sliced

Directions

1. In mixing bowl cream butter and sugar
2. Mix in flour and chocolate
3. Form dough into two balls one slightly larger than the other
4. On a floured surface roll balls into 7-inch circles one thicker than the other
5. Transfer to greased baking sheets Prick all over with fork
6. Bake at 350 for 25 to 30 minutes or just until golden
7. Allow to cool 5 minutes cut thinner circle into eight equal wedges
8. Cool on racks
