Strawberry Shortcut Cake
Ingredients
- 1 c miniature marshmallows
- 3 oz pkg strawberry gelatin
- 1 12 c shortening
- 3 tsp baking powder
- 12 tsp salt
- 2 c frozen sliced strawberries in syrup
- 2 14 c flour
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 3 eggs
- 1 c milk
Directions
- Generously grease bottom of 13 x 9-inch pan
- Spread marshmallows evenly over bottom of pan
- Blend thawed strawberries syrup and dry gelatin set aside
- In large bowl combine remaining ingredients
- Blend at low speed until moistened beat 3 minutes at medium speed
- Pour evenly over marshmallows
- Spoon strawberry mixture evenly over batter
- Bake at 350 for 45 to 50 minutes until golden brown and toothpick comes out clean
