Strawberry Tunnel Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 10-inch angel food cake
  • 1 8 oz pkg cream cheese softened
  • 1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
  • 13 c lemon juice
  • 1 tsp almond extract
  • 2 c sliced fresh strawberries
  • 3 to 4 c sweetened whipped cream

Directions

  1. Cut 1-inch slice crosswise from top of cake set aside
  2. With sharp knife cut around cake 1-inch from center hole and 1-inch from outer edge
  3. Remove cake from center leaving 1-inch thick layer on bottom of cake
  4. This is your tunnel
  5. Reserve cake pieces
