Stromboli
Ingredients
- 1 lb loaf Italian bread cut in 12 lengthwise
- 12 lb lean ground beef
- 1 medium onion thinly sliced
- 4 oz fresh mushrooms thinly sliced
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 14 tsp black pepper
- 1 c spaghetti sauce
- 2 oz Mozzarella cheese shredded
Directions
- In a Dutch oven brown beef and drain well
- In same Dutch oven saute onion and musheroms with garlic and pepper
- Stir in meat and spaghetti sauce
- Heat until bubbly
- Spread meat mixture over both halves of Italian bread and top with cheese
- Broil 6 inches under low flame for 10 minutes
