Sugar Crinkles

Ingredients

• 13 c brown sugar
• 12 c sugar
• 1 c shortening
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 1 egg
• 1 tsp cream of tartar
• 2 c all-purpose flour
• 12 tsp baking soda
• 1 tsp salt
• sugar

Directions

1. Cream together brown sugar 12 cup sugar shortening vanilla and egg mix well
2. Add cream of tartar flour baking soda and salt mix well
3. Roll into 1-inch balls and roll into sugar Place on ungreased cookie sheets 2 inches apart
4. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes or until done
5. Makes 3 to 4 dozen
