Sugar Gems
Ingredients
- 1 c confectioners sugar
- 1 c granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 c salad oil
- 12 lb butter
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 4 12 c flour
- 1 tsp cream of tartar
Directions
- Cream sugars butter and oil until fluffy
- Beat in eggs and vanilla Sift dry ingredients together and blend in well
- Drop cookies on sheet dip glass in sugar and press on cookie
- I prefer to roll cookies in sugar and press with glass
- Bake at 350 until lightly brown very light
- Makes about 40 very large cookies or 100 to 150 small cookies
