Summer Fruit Cake

Ingredients

• 1 c margarine
• 2 c sugar
• 4 eggs
• 1 tsp soda
• 12 c buttermilk
• 1 box dates
• 1 c nuts
• 1 lb orange slices
• 3 13 c flour
• 1 c orange juice
• 2 c 4x sugar

Directions

1. Cream the margarine and sugar Add eggs one at a time and soda in buttermilk Add flour
2. Chop and flour dates nuts and orange slices cut up
3. Add to mixture Cook at 250 for 2 34 hours
4. Mix orange juice and sugar
5. Pour over cake and let stand overnight
