Sunday Fried Chicken

Ingredients

  • 2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 2 to 3 tsp. poultry seasoning
  • 2 tsp. paprika
  • 2 to 3 tsp. onion powder
  • 1 to 2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • dash of pepper
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 Tbsp. milk
  • 2 (3 lb.) chickens, cut up or 16 chicken pieces (your favorite)
  • cooking oil

Directions

  1. Combine dry ingredients in a plastic bag.
  2. In a bowl, lightly beaten eggs and milk.
  3. Dip chicken pieces in egg mixture and shake off excess.
  4. Shake a few pieces in the bag at a time, coating well.
  5. In an electric skillet, heat 1/4-inch oil to 350°.
  6. Brown chicken on all sides.
  7. Reduce heat to 275° and continue cooking for 30 minutes.
  8. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
