Swedish Heirloom Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 c shortening 12 butter
  • 12 tsp salt
  • 2 c sifted flour
  • 1 Tbsp vanilla
  • 1 c powdered sugar
  • 1 12 c ground nuts
  • 1 Tbsp water

Directions

  1. Cream butter add sugar gradually then salt and nuts
  2. Blend in flour and mix thoroughly
  3. Add water and vanilla
  4. Mix thoroughly with fork
  5. Shape into balls or crescents
  6. Bake in greased sheet
  7. Flatten slightly
  8. Bake at 325 for 12 to 15 minutes
