Swedish Meat Balls

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 egg slightly beaten
  • 1 c milk
  • 12 c bread crumbs
  • 2 Tbsp minced onion
  • 3 Tbsp butter
  • 1 12 tsp salt
  • 12 tsp black pepper
  • 14 tsp nutmeg
  • 2 Tbsp flour
  • 34 c light cream

Directions

  1. Combine egg milk and bread crumbs and let stand for a few minutes
  2. Saute the onions until brown
  3. Combine all the other ingredients except the flour
  4. Shape into balls then sprinkle with the flour
  5. Brown in frypan then cover and cook for 35 minutes Serve with a gravy
