Sweet-Sour Chicken
Ingredients
- 2 12 lb chicken wings
- 13 c shortening to brown
- 12 c vinegar
- 12 c packed brown sugar
- 1 12 oz can pineapple juice
- 34 c catsup
- 1 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp prepared mustard
- 18 tsp salt
Directions
- Brown chicken wings in a single layer in shortening in electric skillet set at 300
- Remove as they brown drain drippings
- Add vinegar sugar pineapple juice catsup soy sauce mustard and salt
- Bring to a boil at 250 for 5 minutes stirring constantly
- Add chicken wings
- Simmer covered for 5 minutes
- Turn wings over and cook uncovered for 15 minutes more
