Sweet-Sour Spareribs
Ingredients
- 2 lb spareribs cut in 2-inch pieces
- 1 12 tsp salt
- 2 12 Tbsp shoyu
- 2 12 Tbsp cornstarch
- 8 Tbsp brown sugar
- 12 c vinegar
- piece of ginger andor garlic
- juice of pineapple plus water to equal 1 c
- pineapple chunks
Directions
- Marinate
- spareribs
- for
- 12
- hour in mixture of salt shoyu and
- cornstarch
- Brown ribs in oil drain oil
- Simmer ribs until
- tender
- 1
- to 2 hours in a mixture of the brown sugar vinegar ginger andor garlic and pineapple juice-water mixture Add
- pineapple
- chunks
- just before serving
- Remove oil from spareribs
